Since we are still getting intermittent snow in Colorado, I am itching for all things Spring.  Here are a few kitchens that have caught my eye recently with Spring hues. 

I'm loving this first island because of the fun citron color, but mostly because it is extendable!  This could come in handy on so many occasions.

I'm always nervous when dealing with large amounts of yellow because we once painted our bedroom what was supposed to be the perfect shade and it felt a bit like we were walking into the sun.  We've learned a few things since then about choosing paint, but I swore I would never paint a room yellow again.  I stand corrected because these yellow cabinets are spot on.  The white subway tiles to the ceiling and dark countertops are the perfect compliment to this cheery color.

The cabinetry in this last kitchen is lovely, isn't it? Very pretty.

I pinned this last little DIY and plan on painting our own wooden kitchen utensils.  I always love a touch of color in our mostly white kitchen and these would definitely do the trick.

Frozen Yogurt is my weakness.  Is there any treat more delicious than frozen yogurt?!?  Not in my book.  I would travel a great distance for Pinkberry and have a time or two.

We worked with the owner of Pinkberry here in Colorado to create a new way to deliver their delicious yogurt to their loyal customers and it launched this week.  They will be using this new concept for street sales on the 16th Street Mall, for catering, and for other Denver area venues.  The rolling cart is insulated and holds the frozen yogurt and a few favorite toppings.  We have our lead fabricator, Barry, to thank for the sleek construction of the top of the cart and wanted to share the finished product.  Thanks also to Pinkberry for letting us work with you on your new idea.  Best of luck!

We hope to see these carts all over Denver in the future, especially in our neck of the woods.

I also love the addition of the prep sink in the island and I'm always a fan of a pot faucet above the range.

The columns on either side of the range hold hidden spice racks that roll out, which is such a convenient feature when you are cooking.  I'm constantly digging through my spice cabinet at the very moment something is boiling over on the stove!  The buffet provides the perfect place for extra storage and is just plain gorgeous.

I'm not even sure where to begin with this master bathroom!  From the travertine to the claw foot tub; this bath is the bath dreams are made of.  I think this room reflects the client's own amazing sense of style and I'm pretty sure I would take every square inch of it!

I also think the Robin's egg blue painted pantry door is such a great addition to the space.  It really keeps things bright and fun. 

The exposed shelves above the sink are always so great for display and can be quite functional as well.

Another kitchen that caught my eye this week was this real life home renovation featured on Stephmodo.  I think the dark countertops with the white subway tiles creates a classic look.

This last kitchen was featured on Remodelista and I love the use of off-white subway tiles to achieve a loft-style kitchen with a very vintage feel.  The subway tile goes well with a stainless countertop and the factory lights above the island just make me happy.  

This Cedar Wreath Chandelier would not only smell divine, but would be the perfect touch to any space you will be using for entertaining this season.  I love the Scandinavian feel due to my own heritage, but also the beautifully simplicity of it all.

I also love the embellishing of this Citrus Pomander.  It is so very simple and colorful, yet festive.

I also may be stealing this idea for my Christmas centerpiece.  I love these Evergreen Bobeches because they are both useful and bring a bit of the outdoors in.  I also love the combination of various colors and sizes of candlesticks. 

The main feature of the kitchen being the very impressive island that measured 148" x 64" or roughly 12 1/2' x 5 1/2'.  The soapstone countertops found throughout the kitchen are especially highlighted on this grand island.  I also love the commercial style range from Wolf that they decided on and feel it adds to the space cleanly.

We designed a lot of open cabinetry within the island for storage and easy accessiblity for cooking and baking.

Another great feature was the stacked wall cabinets that extend to ceiling heighth.  This is a great way to utilize space and can have such a dramatic impact.
