KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program
All of the cabinet lines that we carry have been certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Makers Association (KCMA) for their environmentally friendly business procedures. The KCMA is an independent agency that measures the environmental impact and performance standards of cabinet manufacturers. The Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) is a voluntary program that allows cabinet manufacturers to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable practices and environmental management in the production of their products. In order to receive this rigorous certification, our cabinet manufacturers had to show compliance in five select categories:
-
Air Quality-Reproduction in the emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs)
-
Production Resource Management- The use of recycled and sustainable products
-
Process Resource Management- The company has a recycling, waste management, and energy conservation program in place
-
Environment Stewardship- The manufacturer has a documented program which demonstrates its commitment to environmental quality and reviews the environmental practices of its key vendors
-
Community Relations- The company demonstrates community involvement and leadership through service or charitable organizations
Each cabinet line displays a KCMA seal on all of their products in order that their customers can be assured they are dealing with a cabinet manufacturer who is mindful of and is taking care of our country's natural resources.
